Success By 6 Funding for 2009

In 2006 and 2007, Communities for Kids (CFK), in partnership with Success By 6®, invested over $90,000 supporting early childhood development in South Okanagan-Similkameen communities. We are happy to announce that in 2008, we have awarded nearly $12,750 in new funding to support 4 early childhood development projects (see the News Page for a complete story on this new funding).

Communities for Kids, in partnership with Success By 6®, is happy to announce our new application forms are ready.  There are no deadlines for applications; apply when you are ready!

CFK Community Tables, community groups, and First Nations organizations in the South Okanagan-Similkameen are eligible to apply for project funding that promotes the optimum health and development of children aged 0-6. Project proposals must demonstrate support of childhood development in at least one of the following areas:

  • physical health and wellbeing,
  • social competence,
  • emotional maturity,
  • language and cognitive development,
  • communications and general knowledge

The new application forms are posted below.  If you are considering making an application please read the new form and then contact Blair Lischeron or your CFK Community Facilitator to get more information.
