Welcome to the Oliver Community Table Page

The Oliver Community Table is a volunteer group of parents and profesionals that work with young children and families.  The Table has been meeting regularly since October 2003 to consider the early childhood development (ECD) needs of the Oliver community, and is always happy to welcome new members.

Celebrating Some of Our Successes

Mother Goose Programs

This program for parents and children that used rhymes, songs and stories to make reading fun has been offered many times in Oliver.   

Family Fair with Heart

This free special event for children up to age 6 and their caregivers is an opportunity to come together for fun, entertainment, playtime and a chance to talk to health and education professionals.  This year's fair will be held at the Oliver Community Centre on February 25 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.  

Official Community Plan

Presentations were made to the municipal Planning Committee and Town Planner resulting in amendments to the Official Community Plan to include bylaws that are beneficial for families.

Festival of the Tomato: Kids’ Section

CFK joined the planning committee to help organize volunteers and setup the children's section of this popular community event. 

Festival of the Grape: Kids’ Section

Oliver Table members have participated in planning the children’s section to ensure safe and age-appropriate fun for our youngest children.

Safe Playgrounds

CFK donated funds to install pea gravel at the Community Centre’s small playground.
